What it means for players in the US

The WPT Venetian Fall Championship is a live event, so players from any state can enter, as long as they travel to Las Vegas. You must be 21 or older and bring a valid government-issued photo ID or passport. Buy-ins are in US dollars, and the $550 satellites are also played live at the Venetian.

Some US players also play online tournaments, but check the rules in your state first. Ignition Poker and ACR Poker don’t accept players from Nevada and several other states. Both are international rooms, not licensed by any US state, so state consumer protections don’t apply. Only a few states license online poker, Nevada among them.
