How Bitcoin poker works

At Bitcoin poker rooms you deposit in crypto and play at the tables as usual. Depending on the room, your balance is held in dollars or in the coin itself. The upsides are fast deposits and not depending on a bank or card.

Before you deposit, check three things in the room’s cashier: the network (for example, the Bitcoin network, or TRC-20 and ERC-20 for USDT), the minimum deposit and whether there’s a withdrawal fee. Sending on the wrong network can mean losing the funds.

Bitcoin or USDT?

Bitcoin’s price changes every day. If you deposit the equivalent of $1,000 in BTC and the price drops, your balance drops with it, even if you don’t lose a single hand. Players who don’t want that risk usually use USDT, a stablecoin that tracks the US dollar. Many rooms accept both.

How to deposit in 4 steps

  1. Buy BTC or USDT on a cryptocurrency exchange.
  2. In the poker room, open the cashier, choose the coin and copy the wallet address.
  3. On the exchange, paste the address, make sure the network matches and send.
  4. Your balance shows up in the room once the network confirms the transaction. With Bitcoin, that takes from a few minutes to about an hour.

Before you play

Only play at well-known rooms, turn on two-factor authentication at your exchange and keep records of your deposits and withdrawals. Crypto and poker winnings may be taxed where you live, so check the local rules. And don’t forget rakeback: sign up through our links and part of the rake you pay comes back to you.

Frequently asked questions

Which poker sites accept Bitcoin?

Most rooms on our list accept Bitcoin, and several also take USDT and Ethereum. This page only shows the rooms that accept players from your country.

Bitcoin or USDT: which is better for poker?

Bitcoin's price moves every day, so your balance can change in value even if you don't lose a hand. USDT is a stablecoin that tracks the US dollar, which is why many players prefer it for their bankroll.

How long does a crypto deposit take?

It depends on the network. A Bitcoin deposit usually takes from a few minutes to about an hour to confirm; USDT on networks like TRC-20 is usually faster. Withdrawal times depend on each room.
