Best real money online poker sites in Malta (2026)
Malta is home to the Malta Gaming Authority, and its Gaming Act only allows operators licensed by the MGA to offer gaming to people in Malta. That is why this page lists only our partner rooms that hold an MGA licence, ranked by the rakeback you get, followed by what the rules mean for you.

How online poker is regulated in Malta
One regulator. The Malta Gaming Authority licenses and supervises gaming under the Gaming Act of 2018 (Cap. 583). Poker between players is one of the games covered by its consumer (B2C) licence. A licence from another EU or EEA country can also be valid in Malta once the MGA recognises it.
Who needs a licence. The Gaming Act requires a licence to offer gaming to people in Malta, and it treats promoting or helping unlicensed gaming as an offence, with fines of up to €500,000. The law has no penalty for players.
Your protection. At a room licensed by the MGA, you can take a complaint to the MGA if you can’t settle it with the room. You can check any site in the MGA’s official URL checker before you sign up.
The rooms on this page
We only list our partner rooms that hold an MGA licence. Each one checks your country when you sign up, and a room can change which countries it accepts. We check the list against the MGA’s URL checker and update it when something changes.
Deposits and withdrawals
These rooms take cards, bank transfers and e-wallets, and the tables play in euros or US dollars. Check the cashier for the methods and limits on your account before you deposit.
Taxes
As a rule, gambling winnings are not taxed for players in Malta, unless gambling is your profession. If you play for a living, ask a tax adviser how the rules apply to you.
Before you play
Only play if you are 18 or older. Set a monthly budget and stick to it, and if gambling stops being fun, take a break.
