How the calculator works
Rakeback is the part of the rake that comes back to you. There is only one formula: monthly rake × the site’s rakeback percentage. If you pay $1,000 in rake a month at a site with 35%, you get $350 a month, $4,200 a year. The calculator does this for every site on our list that accepts players from your country and shows the one that gives back the most first.
If you already get some rakeback, enter the percentage in “Rakeback you get today”. The calculator shows how much more you would get each month at the best site for your country.
Where to see how much rake you pay
- In the site’s history or cashier. Many sites show the rake you paid in the month, some of them in loyalty points.
- In stats programs. Hold’em Manager and PokerTracker show the rake per hand and the total for the period, on sites that allow these programs.
- In tournaments. The rake is the entry fee: in a $10 + $1 tournament, the rake is $1.
- No history yet? Use “Work it out from your hands”: hands you play per month × average rake per hand.
Why the amount changes from site to site
- The percentage. Each site has its own deal, and the calculator shows each one.
- The payment rules. Some pay every week, others raise the percentage as your monthly rake grows, and one pays in its own token. The rule appears under the site’s name and in the full review.
- How the rake is counted. Some sites split the rake of each hand among everyone who was dealt cards; others, only among those who put chips in the pot. That is why the same game can produce a different rake count at each site.
