Real Money Poker Apps in the US (2026): What Works on iPhone and Android

4 min read · Published

Updated on October 21, 2026.

You won’t find a real money poker app from Ignition, ACR Poker, BetOnline or CoinPoker in Apple’s App Store or on Google Play in the US. The stores only carry real money poker apps from operators licensed where the app is used, so these international rooms reach your phone through the browser or through a download from their own sites. Here is what works on iPhone and Android, checked on each room’s official pages on Oct. 21, 2026.

Quick summary

  • Apple requires a license where a real money poker app is used, so in the US the App Store only has real money poker apps from state-licensed sites, in the few states with a licensed market.
  • Ignition and ACR Poker run in your phone’s browser, with nothing to install. You can save them to your home screen.
  • CoinPoker offers an Android file (APK) and an iPhone version on its own download page. BetOnline lists iOS and Android versions on its download page.
  • Download only from the room’s official site, never from a link someone sends you in a chat.
  • Rakeback is tied to your account, not to your device, so hands you play on your phone count the same.

Why these rooms have no App Store app

Apple’s App Review Guidelines say real money gaming apps, poker included, must have the licenses and permissions required where the app is used and must be geo-restricted to those places. Google Play’s real money gambling policy is similar: the developer needs a valid gambling license for each country or state where the app is distributed, and the app must block access everywhere else.

In the US, that means state-licensed sites. Only a few states run licensed online poker markets: Nevada, New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Michigan and West Virginia. The international rooms that accept players from most other states are not licensed by any state, so they don’t publish store apps for US players. They use a version that runs in the browser or an app you download from their own site.

That says nothing about how good a room is. It only tells you where to get the right version.

How each room works on your phone

RoomiPhoneAndroidComputerRakeback with us
Ignition PokerBrowser, nothing to downloadBrowser, nothing to downloadDownloadable software or the browser40%
ACR PokerBrowser, at app.acrpoker.euBrowser, at app.acrpoker.euWindows and Mac (Apple chip and Intel)35%
BetOnline PokeriOS version on its download pageAndroid version on its download pageWindows and Mac33%
CoinPokeriPhone version on its download page (iOS 15 or later)APK from its site (Android 10 or later)Windows and Mac30%

Ignition says its site works on phones and tablets and that there is nothing to download. ACR’s download page sends phone users to app.acrpoker.eu, with a QR code to scan. BetOnline says its poker app is available on iOS, PC and Android, and its download page also has a QR code. CoinPoker’s download page lists Windows, Mac, Android and iOS, with the minimum system for each.

A phone works well for a few tables or for a tournament you follow on the go. For multi-tabling and long sessions, the desktop software is still the better tool.

How to install a poker app safely

  1. Start from the room’s official site, or from the button in our review. Don’t search the app stores for the room’s name, and don’t install anything from a link sent in a chat or a group.
  2. iPhone, browser version: open the room’s mobile site in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. It opens like an app.
  3. Android, APK: download the file from the room’s site, allow your browser to install unknown apps for that one file, then switch the permission off again.
  4. Turn on two-step verification if the room offers it, and use a password you don’t use anywhere else. Our poker account security guide covers the most common scams.
  5. Use the same account on your phone and your computer. Your balance, bonuses and rakeback stay on the account.

What it means for players in the US

These four rooms accept US players from most states, with exceptions. Ignition is not available in Delaware, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey or New York. ACR Poker doesn’t accept Washington, Kentucky, Delaware, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Nevada or New Jersey. BetOnline doesn’t accept New Jersey. Each room checks your location when you sign up.

They are international sites, not licensed by any US state, so state consumer protections don’t apply. Some states, such as Washington, prohibit online gambling. Read our guide to real money online poker in the USA before you sign up. This article is for information only and is not legal advice.

Most US players deposit with crypto, such as Bitcoin or USDT, because banks often block card payments to poker sites. See the poker sites that accept Bitcoin.

Our deal pays rakeback monthly: 40% at Ignition, 35% at ACR, 33% at BetOnline and 30% at CoinPoker. Open your account through the button in our Ignition Poker review, ACR Poker review, BetOnline review or CoinPoker review, then message us on Telegram. Here is how we pay rakeback.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a real money poker app for iPhone in the US?

Not in the App Store from the international rooms that accept US players, because Apple only allows real money poker apps from operators licensed where the app is used. Ignition and ACR Poker run in Safari, and BetOnline and CoinPoker list iPhone versions on their own download pages.

Can I get a real money poker app on Google Play?

Only from operators licensed where you play, which in the US means state-licensed sites in a few states. International rooms offer an Android file on their own site, like CoinPoker and BetOnline, or a version that runs in the browser, like Ignition and ACR Poker.

How do I install a poker APK safely on Android?

Download it only from the room's official site, allow your browser to install unknown apps for that one file, then switch the permission off again. Never install a poker app from a link someone sends you in a chat.

Do I still get rakeback if I play on my phone?

Yes. Rakeback is calculated on your account, not on your device, so the rake you pay at mobile tables counts the same as on a computer. Our deal pays it monthly, from 30% to 40% depending on the room.
