When is RGPS San Antonio?

RGPS San Antonio runs from Thursday, Nov. 5, to Sunday, Nov. 15, 2026, at The Lodge Card Club. PokerNews notes that the stop is at the San Antonio room, not The Lodge’s Austin-area location, and that it is the first time the series visits this club, which is better known for its cash games.

The RunGood Poker Series is a tour of low- to mid-buy-in live events in card rooms and casinos across the US, and each winner of an official event takes home a ring. Its buy-ins are low compared with WSOP Circuit stops, which makes it popular with recreational players. Here, every buy-in is between $200 and $600.

The series starts the same day as another November event in the US: the WPT Venetian Fall Championship in Las Vegas, whose $2 million guaranteed Main Event also begins Nov. 5. If you plan to play both, the RGPS Main Event flights don’t start until Nov. 12.

How much is the RGPS San Antonio Main Event?

The Main Event costs $600 and guarantees $200,000. Players start with 40,000 chips, and there are seven Day 1 flights: two each on Nov. 12, 13 and 14, plus a turbo flight at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15. Day 2 starts at 2 p.m. that afternoon. PokerNews will report live from the event.

The text of the PokerNews article says the Main Event starts Nov. 11, but its own schedule lists Flight A on Nov. 12. We use the schedule here. Check the dates with the club before you travel.

The opener is the $300 PokerNews PowerStack, with 30,000 chips and five Day 1 flights from Nov. 5 to 7. Players who bag chips in any flight return for the Day 2 finals at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 8.

Texas card clubs operate in a legal gray area. State law bans most gambling, and clubs such as The Lodge charge membership and seat fees instead of taking a rake from each pot. Some cities have challenged that model, and police raids still happen: on Oct. 22, Houston police arrested four people at the 101 Poker Club in Katy.

If you plan to play, check the rules for your city and the club’s terms. Our guide to online poker in Texas explains the state’s rules for both live and online play. This article is for information only and is not legal advice.

What it means for players in Texas and the US

The RGPS stop is a live series, so you have to be in San Antonio to play. Registration and payment run through the club.

Between live series, many Texans play online. Texas does not license online poker, so players there use international sites. These sites are not licensed by any US state, and state consumer protections don’t apply. Ignition Poker, ACR Poker, BetOnline Poker and CoinPoker all accept players from Texas. Most players deposit with crypto, because banks often block card payments to poker sites.

If you open an account through the button in our Ignition Poker review and message us on Telegram, we register it under our deal: 40% rakeback, paid monthly, plus Ignition’s 150% Bitcoin bonus up to $1,500. You can compare all four rooms in our list of the best online poker sites. And before a long series, our poker bankroll calculator shows how many buy-ins you need for the events you plan to play.
